How do I take a screen shot?

Question #1: How do I take a screen shot?

If you have a PC running Windows follow these instructions:
  1. Press the "Print SCRN" button, which should be located in the upper right of your keyboard (Note: depending on the keyboard, the wording on the button may vary)
  2. Open the program 'Paint' or other similar software
  3. Click the "Edit" menu, and then choose "Paste"
  4. You can now either save or edit your image
If you have a MAC follow these instructions:
  1. Hold down the apple key, the shift key, and '3' all at the same time. If you have your sound on you will hear a little snap shot sound.
  2. Go to your desktop and you should see a new file titled 'Picture 1' (or another number)
  3. Open this file in iPhoto to crop and edit it to your linking
Question #2: How do I take a screen shot of the active window only?

  2. Open the program 'Paint' or other similar software
  3. Click the "Edit" menu, and then choose "Paste"
  4. You can now either save or edit your image
If you have a MAC follow these instructions:
  1. Hold down the apple key, the shift key, and '4' all at the same time. A cross cursor will appear allowing you to choose the area for the screen shot.
  2. Go to your desktop and you should see a new file titled 'Picture 1' (or another number)
  3. Open this file in iPhoto to crop and edit it to your linking
